Comedy Washer jets

   hi guys, this is a bit of a comedy problem but still quite annoying,
   
   overnight somehow, the washer jets have gone mental, when i twist the right stalk to use the rear washer jet, fluid comes out of the from washer jets without the front wipers going on, although the rear wiper works no fluid comes out, so i can no longer use the rear windscreen wash. the only thing i can think of is that there is some kind of blockage in the pipe so fluid can only come out of the front jets cheers guys

   i had a similar problem mate. only rear anyway so just dewiper and forget about it..

   I think the mk2 uses one washer motor, I assume this has an internal valve to direct water to front or back. try changing the pump. Its a press fit into the bottle itself under drivers side arch behind the arch liner.

   I've got the same problem. I've just stopped using the rear washer tho

   It would probably be an MOT failure.
   
   Sounds like the pump is at fault. They are only £11 or so from Citroen.
   
   Will take about 1 hour to do the job if you havnt done it before. You need to jack up the front of the car and remove the driverside wheel and take the arch liner out (buy 4 fresh arch liner clips from Citroen as they WILL break)
   
   The pump and the bottle are just in front of where the drivers wheel is behind the arch liner.

   I doubt it would make it an MOT failure as you dont need a rear wiper/washer for it to pass, its just a bit of an inconvenience.
   
   Azzybonjela, I found that if you hold it for a few seconds it will come out the rear washer jet as well

   Hi mate i had the exact same problem but didnt bother me...never used to use the rear wiper anyway lol so i just dewipered it and forgot about it like adamm said.
   It not be an mot failure i put mine through mot with rear wiper still on and with this problem and never even picked up on ...i assume its a blocked pipe or something but i just couldn't be bothered and just dewipered as it looks so much better and besides you don't need to know where you have been you just need to see where your going lol

   I have the same problem! I just figured as the front ones were still working, it wasn't the pump and just a blockage. Never fixed it though - just don't use it anymore like everyone else
   It's never failed the MOT cause of it!
   P.S. If anyone finds out what the problem is and fixes it, will they let me know?!

    I went to citroen the otherday for one of these pumps, they wanted £38 so i said dont worry lol, the guy behind the counter even said go to euro carparts or GSF

    Can get the pump off ebay for even less.
