leds in foot wells

   i managed to make some led strips that fit on ma bottom of ma interior trim look smart but i wos wundering if ny1 knew how to wire them on to a seperate switch instead of having to run them through the fag socket!

   HU = head unit
   He was implying that you could connect them to the back of your headunit.
   
   Alternatively instead of using your actual cigarette lighter socket you can wire them up to the back of it. You need to remove your centre console

   i think i got space to attatch wire to the socket without removing the center trim cheers for the advice

   Just wire it into power supply for dash lighting, and have an in-line swith!
   
   i had some before they fecked up, i put switch up through back of ash tray as a simple solution. open ash tray (i dont smoke by the way!! could have been a problem otherwise)switch on and off. this way they only work when u have ur sidelights/headlights on aswell AKA when its dark. so they turn off when you switch front lights off!

   just get a spearet switch, connect the wring to the wires for the fag lighter (fag lighetr wiring can be disconected easily just by putiin ur ehart by passnger foot well n unplugging them), connect the switch wirign to it then the led wiring to switch wiring, connnect the wiring bak to fag lighter n HEY PRESTO!!!both the fag lighter n leds can work at same time also!

    i still got the leds in the foot wells running through the socket but i managed to hook up another one to run of the light in the boot so when i open it, it lights up in blue

    looks fair smart all i got to do is to cut the led wires and extend them so that i have enough lead to hide the wires and mount them where i want.
