   IMO smoke the font and rear lights, im not too keen on the passenger rear light in that last picture. You can also pick up some smoked side repeaters for a couple of quid off ebay
   
   You should be alright not upgrading the dampers when you lower, just they will obviously need replacing alot sooner than if you didnt lower it. I know a few people that havent and they've ok so far.
   
   I think i would say keep the bumper strips black, not sure whether all gold would look good. Maybe go for the black and gold look with lights bumps strips and spray wheels black.

   smoke the front headlights, get the standed rear lights off mk 1, then spay grill gold with a black badge!
