that noise when you put your clutch pedal down will be yiur release bearing. i will guess you may have a few days left in that clutch or weeks if your lucky lol

I doubt it mate, in no way is the clutch failing, it doesnt show any signs of this just a squeek, which sounds like a spring or cable.

My actual clutch isnt stiff though, it just makes a squeek when i press down the clutch pedal. The stiffness is in the gear selector when changing down or up so i'm guessing its gearbox related anyone clued up on this thanks.

The squeek is the release arm rubbing in the white plastic bush on top of gearbox bell housing (follow clutch arm ro where it enters bell housing). Drop a bit of engine oil on it (not to much though). Also wd40 is no good as permanent fix - it's too thin really.

Gear stiffness is linkage rods gone dry (there are quite a few to do), pop the rods off and clean the balls they sit on. Apply grease and refit. You will need to get right under the car - use AXLE STANDS.

I fitted new clutch on friday and re greased linkages - gearstick is really easy, smooth and light to move now.

My release bearing had been going for about 6 months and had eaten through most of the clutch diaphragm, half of the bearing was just metal filings lol. It did well really.
