I have a 98 vtr, had starter problems so had the starter changed over the weekend, seemed to be fine until today wen one of the problems came back. Car was turning over but would not start went on for ages until i got a push, when i got home switched it off and afterwards started fine. This was happening before and mechanic couldnt locate problem as everytime i take it near garage it starts fine, its becoming a bit of a pain I have also noticed the car randomly revs itself aswell dont know if they are related but any ideas on what it could be so I can have it fixed would be welcome. (also engine seems 2 b flooding when this happens as there is a strong smell of petrol)
