anyone know of/or have any ideas on this..
i was thinking if a pug 306 turbo diesel could be fitted in a saxo?
any ideas..knowledge?

It can be done but would be a fair bit of work. Similar sort of work as fitting GTI6, MI16 and other such engines. If you do a search there are tones of threads on those engines. Engine mounts and drive shafts are the trickiest bits but not all that hard really. Lot of work for such a poor engine though. Why did you pick that one?

would handle like a pig too, 1.9td engine is way too heavy for the front of a saxo

hmm have thought about all those things really, 306 is alot bigger than a saxo if you do look. i wasnt thinking of doing it but just be a mean change.
you can tweak and chip them engines up to some hellish compression, be incredible in a saxo i reckon..
