alloy colour change

   Right, i've decided i'm gunna spray my alloys black, shall i bother taking the tyre off? what paints shall i use and also how do i do a red rim? thanks in advance

   just deflate the tyres, you dont need to take them off, mask off any thing you dont want spraying, sand down, primer (3 coats), spray choosen paint (3 coats) and laqure (3 coats) leaving 15-30mins between coats, if you want you can wet/dry between each coat of paint/primer, but not critical, just depends how good each coat is...
   
   And for the red rim, most people just use rim tape lol

   naa that is long taking them off just leave them on and tape round!!!

   ahh thanks, lol sounds hard work, but my uncle said he'll give a hand... how long would it take me to do them all if i was in a rush? last resort is chuck the steelies on and take my time but i'm a very impatient person lol

   well i did all 4 of mine in 4hours lol... i always do it when i spray my alloys, never had any chips or peeling/flakeing

   ahh nice one mate, a guy in work offered me Team Dynamic multispokes, brank new in black with red rim tape but i dont have 100 at the moment where shall i buy all the stuff? and how many? and most importantly, how much!

   i get my paint and primer from a parts shop (eks, autoparts, partco etc) its like £2.89 per can as apose to £6.99 from halfords lol...id get 2 cans of primer, 2 cans of paint and one can of laqure (i get mine from a local paint spot, just any laqure in a spray can lol)
   
   will cost you less than £20 easy if you get the stuff from there, and rim tape can be bought from halfords, or even a motor bike shop for less than a tenner

   im doing this tomorrow got my primer, paint, laquere and rim tape gunna try my best to make it perfect! i'll post up pictures when i'm happy with it

    look like Gazers wheels... exactly the same Fair play on you for doing it yourself, Id do the same but i need mine referbed so mise well get them powder coated.
