ive had a look on there ebay page and they look the part. are they well made and do they look good once painted? Ide be tempted with the carbon option but only if they could do the open grille type and the boot with plate recess.

#3can you fit the heat proofing from the standard bonnet to reduce the pitting of the fiberglass due to the under bonnet temps?

#4you can use something to stick it with but i havnt. dont need it tbh, as it dosnt get to hot the bonnet. even on long journeys, it will get warm but will not melt or crack etc.

paul ive heard that the bonnets get hot and crack which would in turn look shit so for the sake of a kilo or 2 as appose to the 25kg standard bonnet i think its worth putting that extra weight to the 5kg fiberglass bonnet if it prevents the defects
Paulsupervts, i would get complete carbon but it wont look nice on mine. I only want subtle carbon. -

by subtle i mean streamline carbons interior track day set, front grille, the mirror base plates and covers. And the bonnet and boot fiberglass but painted to the colour of the car. -

#11nooo it wont crack, ive had my fibreglass bonnet on for about 6months, still no cracks or nothing. its just the paint reli, take it to a good bodyshop for paint, as if its a quick spray job, you still see the weaves of fibreglass beneath the paint.

#15i think the standard bonnet is more like 12-15kg not 25kg.
Its still a great saving.
(Quite a few misconceptions about weights- i held two standard 14" alloys with tyres on some scales, then some 15" oz ultra leggeras, then did it again threee times. The difference was 2kg, 1 for each wheel. It is a saving but when you read the forums it is suggested there might be 4kg per wheel or something!) -
#16- looking at getting a boot, hence looking round these posts. Want to know about fitting rear glass or where to get a rear perspex from.

plastics4preformance seem to be the best. Im getting mine from there and im getting thermoformed ones with pro sliders. -
#18My old vts had the CCF bonnet and boot. Quality for cash is pretty good but don't expect any fg panel to be perfectlyflat. I had mine painted, like I did my previous carbon bonnet (for the subtle look

#19cheers mate, ill hopefully pop up this weekend for a nozy around and hopefully end of aug ill get the bonnet and boot. I want the doors (have roll cage with door bars) but the only thing that puts me off is you have to make your own hinges.
