Favour needed from VTS owners

    Need a measurment of the diameter of your alternator pulley


    Confused the hell out of myself this afternoon trying to change my AUX belt

    1999 V plate mk2 VTS

    Took off a 5 rib 738 belt

    But unsure if this is the right size??? as the person seems to have bodged the tensioner to make it work

    The one I got for ECP is quite a bit bigger and seems too slack 5pk 775 (even comfirmed with other sources that this is the one that I need


    I have now fitted the tensioner correctly with a 750 length belt but its only a 4 rib one as they dont come in 5 rib in that size.


    I am therefore assuming that something is different on my car. Only thing I think it could be is the alternator. If someone could measure the diameter of the pully on the end of their alternator that would be great

    If you can wait till monday buddy il find out for you, i work in a car parts place and have bought 2 of them for mine but cant remember what size it was, im sure its 5 pk though.
