Lighting

   Should the cig lighter be lit up or anything else on the centre section apart from the heated rear window and hazards?

   Yeah the whole heating control and that should be lit up, dont think the cig lighter is though.

   strange but me and my mate's saxo only has the hazards and the rear window heater button lit on the center console...nothing else

   Yeah my heating control and that doesn't light up or the cig lighter!
   Maybe the fuse could have blown for it?

   my heater controls dont light up either. if i hit the ashtray it has come on before then goes off. loose connection think. imobiliser light dont work either.

   All of it should be lit when headlights are on apart from the heater blower knob that doesn't illuminate. It's just bulbs or loose connections causing them not to light up. Does the cig lighter itself work ie you push it down then it pops out again once it's heated?

   I have a w reg mk2 n my heater controls dont light up either, my mates the same, i just assumed it was the french being french. Is there a fuse diagram kicking about on the forum?

   Yeah it still pops out and works fine just doesn't light up

   Will be the small bulb behind the lighter element. Aside from that check the wiring behind it make sure the blue illumination lead isn't damaged.

    have you got a vtr. mine has a hole in the dash button side of hazard light button,found a led light hangin down behind dash just thought thats what it will be. or last owner been pissin about with somethin.
