    What brand coilovers?
  3. #3
your probs on really cheap ones mate. cheap and nasty
  4. #4
almost certainly running out of shock travel or going coilbound.
  5. #5
    What does tht mean?
  6. #6
It means tell us which coilovers you have
    gaz
    raceland
    Jamex
    h&r

and then we can help you
otherwise it's guessing your spring rates ect are wrong or your dampers are bottoming out

it means the springs are too low spring rate for the car and ride height. the coils on the springs will be touching each other therefore the springs are no longer "springing"

Not sure of the make. The coiloverS are all the way down to aslow as they can go. Take it this will be causing the problem

be too low then.. like danny said maybe the spring coils are to close and hitting... or they are the cheap coilovers i.e. raceland..

agree. There is not all that much travel to start with so you do see a lot down on the bump stops. Never a good way to have the car.

well im trying to find out as some makes (raceland/jamex/tuning leader) all are a bad design and the pans clash as there shite

harder springs on them wont work either as the soft alloy threads strip then
basically if they have a red spring and blue pans then i would look into removing them
  13. #13
Ye they are red springs and blue pans. Are they really that bad? What would you advise on getting with out having to spend stupid amounts of money
  14. #14
    yea there shite
there are countless threads on here about them and tbh i think they need removing from sale but i have no say in that

just a decent lowering kit like a fixed rate spax or apex kit thats just over 200 quid

Do you reckon they will be alright for next couple of weeks unroll get dome money to order some new ones
  16. #16
they will manage but eventually you will end up bending your shell (takes a fair while or a big bump to do that though
  17. #17
Will have a look for some new ones then. Any good sites you know of. Cheers for your help

unless you want to spend in excess of £500 then coilovers are a waste of time. Raise the car up by about 40mm and you may find it more comfortable, and you will not be sitting on the rear bumpstops...
  19. #19
Takin the coilovers off and going to order a 60mm kit off Kamracing I think

take the whole lot off and start again mate.get some decent dampers and shocks like bilstein b8s and you will be well happy with your comfort levels
