door pins flushing

   is it possible to some how push pins down so that when cars locked there flush with door.just thinking id still be able to lock doors when in car,if not ill de pin.

   theres a guide to removing them as its easyer to pinch your car with them on(bent the door an pull the pins an your in)
   
   but i aint got the privlage to go read it yet for some reason?

   If you took them out you could measure how much you would need to cut them down by.
   Chop them in the middle by "x" amount, glue them back together shorter and replace
   
   To hide the marks left by gluing could sand, prime and spray

   just looked at depinning guide pins are just metal might try measure bend and cut off bottom to put back on.if it goes wrong ill just de pin.
   if i do de pin what size gromets do i need.

   Chill out Rudpud... You could break into any car by bending the door and lifting the doorpins I mean about 20% of an entire car shell is glass. If someone wants to break in badly enough then they're going to!

   how are you going to unlock the doors from the inside if the pin sits flush when locked?

   Yeh but mate you understand where im coming from? I've seen many people on here not give the details of how to do it for that reason :/ but i know what you mean, doesnt matter if you got a £500 saxo or a £50000 beemer, if they want it they'll have it

   i can press alarm fob to open door.saying that if you depin and u press fob to lock doors does it activate alarm when keys in ignition as well,dont get home till friday so cant check myself till then.

    yes i imagine it would. depends though as different alarms work differently

    only doing it as i drive through manchester at night back from my mums and still wanted to lock doors as you dont know whos about.
    you can lock car with the fob when the cars running and doesn't activate alarm just locks doors,and press fob to unlock so might just de-pin instead.
