Gearbox issues

Every now and again I will put the VTS into first gear to set off and the car won't move. (It acts like its in neutral - there is no bite and the car will rev freely when I accelarate). Also after this the car will not go into second gear (It feels like somethings blocking it some how?). To fix the problem I've got to put the car into neutral and then try again. This happens once every few days and I drive the car on a daily basis. Anybody know what the job is and a rough price?

Hey matey

I once had the same problem, mine would do it twice a week sometimes more.. But mine went into first and second gears but would not go into 3rd, 4th and reverse gear, but went into 5th.. I also had to put into neutral and wiggle it about, always did it when there cue of cars behind me.. My problem was gearbox fooked I had to have a recon gear box that cost me £600 fitted now problem has gone..

No problem matey.. If you went for a second hand gearbox would be much cheaper but might not last as long matey.. But I would say defo need a new box..
