clutch cable help

Hi, All, has anyone recently changed the cable on a vts mk2. Two of us have spent a couple of hours trying to get the cable through the bulkhead, tried tying a piece of wire on it to pull it through, fail, it is so restricted in the engine bay. Anyone got some tips to get it through. Thanks

It literally won't go through! I four this out after hours and split blood. Genuine Citroën one is the only one that goes through. Poke a shoe lace through from the inside tie it to the nylon bit and pull through into the cabin.

Thanks thats what i have been trying to do, need to get a geuine cable and try as its driving me mad... Stupid cable when you look at it, it is all real heavy duty, stuff then a poxy bit of nylon on the end of it, a bushed steel item would last for ever, wouldent help the after sales though.
