ASW -
#4They are like any other suspension,
-
#5Awww leave him , he's just excited sooooo
-
#6Also if your struts are coilovers now, will need new ones, which I have ready to go, only would need was new bearings, and swap straight over.
You will need new strut with new spring seat. -
#7Y won't I be able to use the struts I using for my coilovers?
-
#8well if they are chagned to coilover with coilover springs.. the spring seat would of been removed.. need a picture to comfirm this... i have the apex suspension kit for say... and have struts i could put into the deal for fan extra 10 20quid
-
#9Couldn't I just Put a new spring set in or wouldn't that work?
-
#10No, coilover spring are narrower than standard and apex springs.
-
#12right so looks like going to have to get a new strut then best get lookin on ebay cheers for your help.
-
#13i have some struts... please read.... where are you based?
-
#14north wales mate which is miles away from you. didnt you say they needed new bearings?
-
#15yer well if i was buying second hand struts would changed the bearings. also remembering that some saxo are flat type or tappered type.
-
#16i think mine are tappered but not 100% sure.
-
#17sorry about bein really thick but how do you kno the difference
-
#18well have to check your drive shafts... what year is the car?
old saxos are normally flat... new saxo after 2000 are normally tappered. -
#19its a x reg so 2000/2001 so mine should be tappered. what are the ones your sellin
-
#20there no bearing in them at the moment.. but like i said should replace the bearing anyway.. save you job if there are fu*ked!!
well i would check the drive shafts just to make sure.. as it the bearing are wrong for the drive shaft will damage the drive shafts. -
#21and that year right on the crossover year from mk1 to mk2. so would check
-
#22will have a check when get chance. how much would you want for yours struts delivered m8? mines the mk2. the coilovers i put on where off a 03 plate if thats any help
-
#23just been out now and just found my old standard spring seats in the shed so coilovers off and re fit the seats should solve it i hope
-
#24yer that could work... how is the threaded bit of the coilover iftted on the strut tho?
got pictures of the coilovers would be easier to help -
#25it looks like the coilovers sit over the strut heres the best pic i could get
-
#26is the thre4aded part welded into place? i think that will need removing.
omg the coils are so compressed!! that is really bad dude. -
#27no dont think that it is doesnt look like it anyways it just looks like it been placed over but if it is welded on shouldnt be a big job removing it i hope. if they come of that strut ok they will be comin of the car on sunday its the most awful ride ever. thanks alot for your help m8 its much appreciated
