50mm gasket

Iv just bought a supersprint centre section to go with my magnex back box and standard manifold, do i need a 50mm gasket? if so where does it go?

As far as I remember a magnex backbox won't fit a supersprint centre section as the join is different. As for 50mm gasket the one you need is the larger one on Kama website can't remember the size but they come off a Mazda.

I believe you will need to use a sleeve to fit the backbox at the magnex wont fit over the supersprint.

That's the gasket you will need for the between the mani and centre section

And like what the guy above has said magnex pipes slip together but the supersprint has an outward rolled edge where the centre section joins the back box.

cud i cut the supersprint down abit so they slide onto each other?

You could maybe cut it then weld them together or slide them together depending on the pipe diameter. I'm not sure though as I have no first hand experience of doing the job I just bout ones that fit

It will be easier to under stand when you see the centre section mate. You could cut the join off the centre section and weld in a pipe to extend it to the original length and as long as the extended part is slim enough to slide into the magnex it will be fine.

yeahh i know what u mean mate, i just dont wanna weld anything cos iv nether done it before =/ do u know a center section which will fit my magnex exhaust?

Only magnex fit magnex as far as I know without needing anything altered.

I fitted a magnex to my standard centre pipe, that had a outward rolled bit on it too. Just cut it off, get a old piece of exhaust pipe that will fit over the centre pipe and the magnex, clamp them down with some d clamps and some exhaust paste.
Whizzy on here has done it, either check his progress thread or pm him

You can with a standard centre pipe, but the supersprint is the same diameter as the magnex

so you need to get a pipe of slightly larger diameter to sleeve over the 2 pieces.

I used a aftermarket one with no silencer, cut off a bit too much tbh, when you take it off you can see how much roughly, better to leave too much than not enough

i will give it ago, so i cut lip of supersprint, cut my standard centre section to make a sleeve to join my supersprint to the magnex

you could do that but its extremely wasteful.
My advice is cut the lip off the standard one, and fit the backbox to that, then sell the supersprint.
