would welding rear dampers make handling better?

  1. #1
me and a few friends had a thought and wondered if welding the rear dampers would it affect the handling in a good way or a bad way
    thanks
  2. #2
bad way the car would have no rear suspension the back end would fly out on corners and it would be bumpy as hell
  3. #3
ah oh well ill just have to buy some new sporty ones then
  4. #4
I think you and your friends ought to stop sharing that one brain cell between you before you kill someone!
  5. #5
id recommend purchasing ones for the job rather than welding them solid buddy. rigid car wont be fun
  6. #6
lol, i think you and your friends need to stop thinking if thats the ideas you come up with lol
  7. #7
Just weld the front and rear dampers up (somehow)
  8. #8
a would hate to think a was driving it with welded shocks,a rekkon ya would be wheelchair bound after a trip round the backroads
  9. #9
    You'll only see a benefit if you're aiming at a 10 second 1/4 mile in your 1.0
  10. #10
    Is this a joke???
  11. #11
Go the whole way and take ya front springs off and cut them in half and then put them back on.
  12. #12
no you should take the springs out let the car sit on the dampers then let all the stuff out of the dampers then weld them shut should be nice and low and handle like a supercar

obviosuly im massively taking the piss
  13. #13
why the hell would someone come on here and ask a question like that.
you should have your hands removed and never be-able to touch a car.wait its another ive crashed my car thread and i dont know why.

  17. #17
    legendary lmfao
  18. #18
LOL!! What would you hoping to accomplish by doing this? I'm supposing you want a firmer setup "becuz thatz wat f1 carz use init". Obviously no - it isn't a good thing to weld the dampers, which I think you know anyway and are just being a prat.

If you don't understand that welding dampers is a bad thing, then I suggest you step away from the computer before the trail of dribble leaving the corner of your mouths pools on the keyboard circuit and creates an electrical surge... retard

just remove the dampers all together - will handle 100 times better but ride might be a bit bouncy + don't get airborne as the front springs might detach from the spring cups i JOKE !!
  20. #20
seriously? some people scare te fuck out of me.

would fucking ruin the handling of a car!
would step out like fuck when hard braking to....

Do some reading up on what dampers do and you'll realise how they alter the characteristics of a car
  23. #23
i do love this thread some odd questions are asked on saxp but this is the greatest. for the amount of money you will spend fixing all the things you break by doing it mate it would be cheaper to but some uprated shocks adjustable ones and tighten them up
