Is the drive shaft from a 02 plate same as 98 plate?

   I have been having problems with my vtr and were not sure if its problem with drive shaft or bearing but have found a o2 plate to get bits off but not sure if it would fit 98 plate?
   
   Anyone help me on this?

   98 - Non tapered shafts + non tapered hubs
   
   02 - Tapered Shafts + Tapered hubs
   
   Mix and match and youll chew through bearings. Speaking from experience.

   mines a 99 with tapered shafts and bearings
   
   I really wouldn't buy wheel bearings without seeing the type of shafts you have fitted

   Mine's tapered also and have been using reg from both 98 1.0 originally and 98 vts since converting parts over.

   Left side Flat/straight, right side tapered

   should mine be a flat or tapered type for a 98 plate?
