anyone experiencing this prob

   bought a vtr not so long ago,good car nippy,ect,ect anyway the car aometimes takes ages to start and on some ocassions requires a bump this only seems to happen after i turn it off.ie petrol stations once it eventually restarts its boggy for few seconds and there is a high smell of fuel n a little black smoke out back. its as if once the engine has been started and is turned of when going to restart it it feels as if its either got no spark or overfueling to the point were it wont start(flooding).
   any theorys people ..

   Take the plugs out, clean or renew them.
   make sure the air filter is clean, if not renew it.
   Change your fuel filter.
   
   It could be a faulty Lamer sensor also, mine is faulty and it bogs sometimes, and dies a lot when cold and sometimes does what yours does with the random not starting. It also can cause it to idle lumpy.

   Sounds like fuel pump or fuel rail............
