Saxo Aerial

    Alright lads,

What do you guys think to the beesting look a like aerials instead of the stock ones?

I didn't notice until I walked past my car at work how big the standard aerial is, makes it look like a little RC car.

Was thinking about this one - CLICKY!

    Cheers

nice and chavvy is a bee sting, what you seen is a grommit, 1.87 from citroen, have a look at my progress thread for pics

Hmmm, well I'm not going down the "chavy" route so I guess the beesting is out of the question.

You know the grommit you're using, do you still actually get a radio signal? Also, is it the same one they use when they de-wiper the back?

Yea i also would like to know this, is there any guides to de-aerial ? and is there a grommit in the car somewhere that would fit in the aerial hole ?

haha, I noticed as soon as I bought the saxo that the aerial was absalutely huuuuge, and as you say makes the little saxo look like an little remote control car haha.

I'm going the beesting option, they dont look too bad, and they're cheap.

Yeah, I've been looking around and they look fine in black. I think the silver ones look a bit over the top though.

I've gone ahead and bought one from the bay, if I decide I don't like it I can always resell it

its an aerial can;t be chavvy it just picks up radio signal and smaller ones look less like a radio controled car

does it pick up less radio station's with a small ariel rather than a big ariel???

My car should be coming together nicely when the angel eyes, mirror caps and the new aerial comes. Can't wait to get it all on now to be honest

Does a shorter ariel effect the amount of signal recieved???

I had a ford escort aerial on mine, looks similar to the 206, about 30cm long. Only reason i chose it was it was the 1st one i came across

A longer aerial will always pick up more signal than a shorter one but you won't really notice the difference that much especially if you are using a radio with a good tuner.

The answer is the 206 aerial if you want to keep the car standard or get an aerial grommet
