Important! : Having a stress with key fob

  1. #1
Bought a replacement case off eBay which came today. Little did I know it was the plastic only (I know circuit etc wouldn't be included) and I'm having a stress removing the metal bit that sits behind the battery and allows me to use buttons. I'm trying to be as careful as possible as the metal is really thin and I don't want to damage it. This is defo one of the fiddliest things I've ever tried to do. I've included pics below to show what I'm on about.

    Cheers in advance!

use a lil screw driver and prize it off, then use screw driver to push it back on to new case

I've managed to transfer the above metal bit onto new case withbattery but it's not working at all now. This is turning into a fookin nightmare!

Should I need to do that, i've only changed the casing, not the circuit or anything. I've just tried it never-the-less and nowt. What a piss take this is becoming

Stick it in the oven for a few mins to soften it. Then to fit it in the new one place the metal in then heat up a screwdriver with a fag lighter or blowlamp then melt the pegs

I had the exact same problem with my case I bought off ebay, its the round bit with the three prongs on it moves and the battery not connecting properly, try and push the battery into place when holding the metal in position, that worked for me.
