Steering knock?

   hello,
   i bought a saxo VTR a couple of weeks ago and its being sitting in my drive for 2 weeks without being driven. i got the insurance today so took it for a little drive and whan i turn my steering wheel there is a loud bang coming from the front right of the car. when i drove the car home after i bought it there was no banging at all its just since i started it today. the car has been idle for 2 weeks. any ideas?

   could be a drive shaft?

   sounds like bottom arm or bottem ball joint mate........

   but why would it just break after its been sitting for 2 weeks? sounds a bit weird to me lol

   I had a similar problem when i bought my saxo.
   
   Was fine for a couple of days and then developed a knocking noise when ever i turned left coming from the drivers side footwell (more so over bumpy terrain)
   
   Turned out it was the o/s wishbone ball joint that was knackard.
   
   Replaced the wishbone haven't heard a knock since!

   thanks!! i have been told it could be my suspension knocking, my saxo is lowered 35mm.
