Rust :(

   got two "patches" of rust above each wheel arch in the boot......theyre quite big to be honest. about 6 inch by 2 or 3 inch. how much am i looking at to get this repaired? only just found them aswell.....gutted!

   i had this on one side. its a common problem, i remember i had a massive hole looking into the boot. got a man i knew to weld a plate over it and underseal it for £50. not sure how over priced garages are charging these days though

   £30 labour ? £10 weld, shouldnt be more than £40, or easier just sand it back to bare metal and paint hammerite waxyol over it

   Is it a hole? or just surface rust. You can sand away the surface rust and then treat it with kurust or hammerite rust remover and then treat it with rust preventive before adding a top coat of paint. For holes you remove any rust from the affected area and just weld in new metal.
