#2shouldn't do.
But I'd register it asap otherwise you will get caught out - the punishment wouldn't be worth the risk of not registering it.
All you have to do is register a change in engine number - the cc will stay the same. -
#3As long as it gets through the MOT i dont mind. but then if i change the V5 will my insurance then change? as im due to change my policy soon then i was going to change the V5?
-
#4It may affect your insurance but yiou will be worrying about the hefty fine off the police and lack of car after they take it off you rather than the increase in insurance.
-
#5fair enough cheers
the cars coming of the road soon anyways i think. so im not sure but cheers guys

#6Mine passed with an un-declaired VTS engine

#8It will pass the mot with a conversion, they only check its roadworthyness. I had an Xe in my corsa that flew thru no problems that I declared after, but if the police have a look your fucked they can and will confiscate your car cos its not insured properly, they can even crush it!!

#9I can and do understand thing mate. No offence to any police officers tho but how an earth will most of the coppers lift the bonnet and go thats a vts engine?Quote:It will pass the mot with a conversion, they only check its roadworthyness. you're mad mate.i guarantee you, you'll think "Ah I'm gettin away with this,I'd be a fool to declare it!"NOT! All it takes is a roadside vosa check etc.think thats what they call em. Insurance will go apeshit as well.No worth it IMO -
#12but if the vin number is still as a vtr and its insured as a vtr? then??? how are vosa to know its got a vts engine inside?
