Weird sound

    Hey all,

    I got a weird humming/buzzing sound when i start my engine it doesnt go when i change gears or anything like that... i cant really describe it but if could be a large amount of things i'll try get a vid

    any wild shots in the dark?

    exhuast vibrating against something?

    Nah its defo not that ive ruled that 1 out its gotta be engine area... as its just popped up yesterday

    well if i am correct then its a new clutch job really, does the sound stop when you put the clutch in?

    uhh never really checked... but i had a new clutch less than a 1000 miles ago so i'll get them to recheck it coz it shouldnt go that quick!!

    Nah it doesnt go when i put my foot on the clutch or take it out of gear :/ hmmmm.....

    mmm could be a release bearing mate what clutch did u put in it a valeo or sachcs dont really matter u shore they put the new release bearing in. mine the same but still pulls i like my engine making whistling sounds lol nah doing mine tommorow lol

    is it coming from the power stearing pump or was that just where you happened to be filming

    nah the sound was definitly loudest at that area and when i do turn my wheel it seems to make a slightly weirder sound than that :/

    and now to top it all of my battery went n died on me for no reason with no lights on.. hmm my car is being well weird atm!

    Deffo steering pump, give it a gentle firm tap with a hammer, may fix it temporarily, but could do with a new one. or it just could be cos your not used to an electric pas pump?
