Important! : lucas carriers hitting disks ?

    hi there thought i would ask every 1 on here, what it is I have Lucas callipers don't know what year they are i put the disk on 266mm matrix then the Carrier then started to do the 2 bolts up then the Carrier was hitting against the disk ? i could try washers to bring the carrier back a bit then the disk wont hit don't know if that will be OK, can any 1 help why dose this hit the disk ? the pads are OK no probs there.the person said they are off a Pug 206 Gti early Lucas type, Straight fit for saxo.They should be for Berlingo 266m vented\non ABS do i need other disks ?

    Are you avo off ebay if so you bought this set off of me, Thanks for the nasty ebay meesage just. Anyway the calipers/carriers are right take a pic post here you will be told so by other members. They fit MK1 and MK2 struts. The disk's were brand new mintex complete with pads still sealed. As I said they may have been the wrong ones in the box I had no way off knowing as I never broke the seal to have a look. What I do have in my shed is the original disk's from the vtr that went with the caliper's. If you pm me your address I'll send them up at least that way you can check them against the ones in the box. If they differ at least you can take them to a local motor factors and they should be able to match them upon and they cost fuck all. Rez.

    Sounds like the newer type discs.

    Find the mintex part number on the discs, if it's MDC1491 then you have the new ones that won't fit the Lucas caliper.
