Important! : Help With locking wheel nut

   Hello Everyone
   
   Basically I've been a twat and managed to lose the key to my locking wheel nuts.
   
   Went down Citroen, but nobody could tell me if the locking wheel nuts I have were official Citroen ones or not, so buying a new key that was registered to the car when bought at £40 seems like it could be a huge waste of money as it may not even work.
   
   Anyone know if this is a citroen locking wheel nut?
   
   
   
   Asked them how much it would be to get them removed and replaced with standard nuts, they gave me a quote of £170....
   
   Have tried hammering a socket over the top, just doesn't work.
   
   Any help would be hugely appreciated

   go to a small garage n they will drill em out £10 a wheel! thats what i did

   thats the nuts i had on mine and there shit, the key broke when trying to undo them. garage managed to get them off and charged me the sum of £0. failing the socket method you could weld a bolt on it and remove it that way.

   Got my Dad to have a look, he doesn't know anyone that is that good with a welder to get a nut welded on in that small space, and the garages want to charge me a fortune around here.

   Does the locking wheel nut look like an official Citroen one then if it was the same style on your alloys???

   Think I may just bite the bullet and order a new key from Citroen and hope its the right one...

   New key ordered, just hope the key they have registered on their system matches whats in my wheels, otherwise £40 wasted

   Good luck. If it doesnt the socket method doesnt look like it will work on that.
   Id say try and weld a bold on to it and then undo that, or pay someone to drill it out.
   
   Had similar problem when my mcguard locking key vanished.
   19mm socket worked wonders

   I did exactly that and lost my wheel nut key; Doh!!
   
   I managed to hammer a socket onto all of mine and hey presto they were off.
   
   You should man up and hammer like fuck lol
