saxo passenger door starting to sag? so has to be lifted and slammed?

hi all, bit of a wierd one, dont know if this just normally happens or someones leant on my door too much, but the passenger doors now constantly needs to be slammed hard as the hinge doesnt match up anymore. ive looked and theres no brackets that can be ajusted, so im assuming my only option is to maybe jack the door up to bend it back into shape???

doesnt sound too good but seems like my only option

Need to replace door pins perhaps or as you say might need persuading back into place if some one has bent the hinges (and not just the pins).

See if the mechanism or bracket is bent at the hinge

or if the hinge has cracked away from the pillar

hi all, have had this problem sorted and its come back...

the door hinge cracked away from the pillar and i had a friend weld it. (wasnt a very good weld) hinge has since cracked away again, and ive been pestering my mate to reweld it and its got steadily worse (to the point where i have to let people in the drivers side and not use the door.

my question is what is causing it? as the door is quite creaky and opening and closing it is visibly pulling the hinge away from the pillar, after reading previous comments its possible the door pins are bent? or is it that it all needs taking apart and greasing? has anyone had this problem before?

    thanks all

sounds like hinge pins are siezing up causing too much strain on the pillar leading to cracking, its not exactly unusual

I have the exact same problem mate so also need to try and work out a fix for it. lol

take the pins out and grease them up so they last for another 10 years

ok, ill take them out tomorrow, give them a clean and grease them up. i did have a quick look earlier but im just wondering how do i actually get them out? are they a big torx bolt? or just cir clips, might make a bit of a guide out of it if this is a common problem

Have u sorted this yet? i had this problem on my 106 and my saxo. the 106 hinge came off, get a good welder on it.. i also tightened the bolts on the hingy clip bit and sprayed loads of WD40. worked on both the cars
