throttle cable move freely? Pedal height correct? TB idle screw messed about with?

still does it after battery unplugged for a good few hours?

anything on diagnostics? EML on? rev's freely? Drives freely ? Does it all the time? Just when cold? Any misfires?

you need to provide more information

    Revs freely
Drives the same with it stuck at 2000rpm
    Only just occurred.
    No misfires

But...... I came to it this morning for work and went 2 clicks with the key and then went to start and had no power what so ever, mileage wasn't even on the dash???

    This just happened

I just went out to the car and started her up and she was sat at 2000rpm but I put it in gear and let the clutch out with the Handbrake on just until it nearly stalled and engaged the clutch again and she sat at 800rpm as normal, but as soon as I hit the throttle abit she shot straight back to 2000 rpm?? It's gota be the icv???

Get a new one... and an extra hint... get a proper brand new one from Citroen or the problems will rear their head again in a couple of month.
