Spark Plugs

   Hey ive got a mk1 eastcoast and thinking about replacing the spark plugs for better performance ones.. just wondering how many will i need i think its four but not sure..

   you need 4, go to halfords they normally come in packs of four.
   
   Doubt you'll notice an increase in performance though. If you're doing a service i'd change the oil, oil filter, coolant etc while you're at it.

   how do you know.. one of mine might not be working properly... and why would they make them if they did nothing??

   Because i've worked on cars since i was 6 love. They might help the car run healthier yes. But an increase in performance will be tiny and you wont notice it. They make them and write "increase the car's performance" to make mugs like you buy them thinking it'll make their 1.1's go like a ferrari.
