Important! : another MOT fail on the loading valve

    hi guys i have had a look through the search and have seen this brake loading valve is common to seize up. how hard are the to remove from the rear axle? what is the best way to un seize them if there is a way?

    its basically a spring and 2 bolts passenger side try d40 it all and see if you can loosen it off but its a few ££ to replace iirc

    Ive just replaced one on my axle, was totally shafted and the brake unions were seized in. Price was about £130 from Citroen, got a replacement Bosch one for £50 through a motor factors.

    where did you manage to get one for £50? i have called a couple of places and they cant get one with abs but can without- i hope i can get the thing to move so i dont have to mess about and get my mot sorted.

    thanks for the drawing it may be of some help when i come to look at it later tonight.

    anyone else got any ideas?

    Apparently some shock unlock or such like, a metal bar, a large hammer and some copper grease often works
