tacho problem

   i have got a 1.1 east coast whitch i put a vts engine in and some vts dials from a mk1 well my loom dont have a tacho so i tryed to look for the tacho wire on the ecu and i only found one wire which was a thick blue wire that i have been using but it had a lot of movment in went from top of the square to just past 10, when you let it idle but now i have just converted to mk2 dials and now it moves loads will move from top of the square to 50 just on tick over could any one help me find the right wire so i can have a normal tacho

   i have done the search button and there is nothing to help my problem and i have tryed to search the net to but cant find anything

   almost sounds as if the tacho is connected to the rev counter mate :s

   a tacho is a rev counter and i have tryed google but nothing some one on here that has converted a 1.1 to a vts engine must of had this problem to
