HELP!

  1. #1
    Hello everyone,

First time post and a bit of a loss of what to do....

I currently own a P reg saxo which has been garaged for nearly a year. It had a lot of work done to it before it was garaged so I'm not too worried about getting it out. However, my father, who was very sick at the time, then passed away, decided to tinker with the engine and he disconnected the battery, when reconnecting the battery, the imobilser will not kick in with the code in order to start the car, it just keeps flashing the red light when entering the code instead of going to green. Somewhere my father has managed to put the manual in the house and at present I am going through the rest of his things to try and find said manual for help.

Please has anyone come across this problem or know what he could have done to the car? I am completely out of my depth here!

Yeah I'm definitely sure it's the right code, it's a year a member of my family was born (it wasn't created for that, I just bought the car and it was like that). Thanks, it's getting easier just want to get this car out now so I can prove that I can do it x

erm........P reg little saxo?? Did I mention I'm a girl and I havent a scoobie?? As sad as this may sound, my father and my ex (who sells cars) dealt with this and wouldn't let me involved too much, hence I'm trying to sort it myself to prove the ex wrong among other things. CITROEN SAXO 1996-2000 Petrol 1.1L Manual 3 doors - does that help?

Yeah, well I presume it is with the key code. I have to put the key in then enter the code, but I dont know what my father disconnected, I presumed it was just the battery.............if you disconnect the battery could that reset the code? or am I talking bollox?

No my car isn't special enough to have central locking, it's too old for that! it's just a little banger really! We rehooked the battery then tried it, waited a few minutes then tried it again. I'm at a loss really, it would help if I could find the bloody manual coz I'm sure the answer will be in there but god knows where that is! I left it in the car but hey ho men know better! lol x

    Hi Cat

Best thing to do would be to take it to a citroen service centre and ask thier advice.
Every car manufacturer has a process for customers forgetting codes so they will be best to advise.

As the car is 10+ years old they may want to replace the immobiliser with a new one.
Im good with eletrics but not so much with immobilisers

Sorry I couldnt be more help!
