Rallye Engine? Same As Vtr?

   Basicaly ive found a very low milage VTR engine, and my rallye's head has just been rebuilt but not the bottom end, now i was thinking off buying the vtr engine then putting the Rallye head on it..
   
   Will this fit?
   
   Also will a S1 Rallye inlet fir on a S2 Head with no mods? or what mods needed?

   there both blacktops but its something like the rallye engine has a skimmed head so its 103bhp instead of 90..

   So the S2 Head fits straight on VTR bottom end? my head has been skimmed and cemical cleaned, with cam ect

   It would definetely fit on a blacktop bottom end but unsure on the 98bhp bottom end ( i'd imagine so )

   the rallye has a more agrressive cam also to get the power up

   i think this is what some of the stock hatch drivers do to their saxo's. often see mk1 heads or rallye heads on mk2 bottom ends.

   Okay Cheers Boys, its a Black top mark 1 engine, very low milage one and very cheap so im going to get it and switch heads over .

   Pretty sure it's only the intake and ecu that differs between the engines

    The head will go straight on to blacktop bottom end
    
    The main differences between s2 rallye and blacktop vtr engine is the rallye uses a mild cam (270deg) and the vtr doesn't also the vtr uses small bearing cams and rallye uses large bearing cams so cannot be swapped this is from what I've read, that's about it and obv ecu
    
    Also the s1 inlet will go on, you will need to drill 2 holes one for the map sensor pipe and one for the idle control valve pipe, then block the s1 icv up on the tv other than that's it's a straight fit, oh and best to get a ptfe gasket too helps stop the heat transfer a bit from head to inlet since it's alloy
