centrol locking problem

   i just brought another car today its a vtr and the key fob didnt work as needed new batterys so i got some and fitted them the locking works when im in the car but not when im out side why would this be

   check the reciver unit inside the car up by where the sunroof is.... mine was the same, removed the plastic cover n the reciver some how had gone up into the roof!

   just cheked that and its fine i took the cover off and tryed it out side the car and still would not work evern with the door open it wont work

   probably a dodgy reciver then i wld think.... prahaps some1 will come along soon who this has happened to n give u some better advise
