I had the exact same problem. When i asked the body shop guy his reference book said arctic steel is actually a peugeot colour under a different name. Just ask if a body shop can get you the correct name

never use halfords spray, there are over 30 different shades in that colour, halfords are just a "generic" colour. best place to go, is a paint matching palce and just take n your petrol cap or something small and detachable.

cheers mate yeh. Halfords don't seem to use the colour match cards anymore they rely totaly on paint codes. not only that but they seem to hire workers that have not much knowlage at all.

tbh, halford cans aint to bad, but its neva gona be the same as its cellulose paint, when respraying proply using compressor and spray gun, you us "2k" paint", mix the paint with hardners and thinner, also its down to the lacquer aswell, again if u used tin of lacquer wont look same as its 1k and not to 2k paint so reflects different.

what parts are you wonting to respray mate?

Halfords should still do the cars, as for the paint books, should be about 3 behind the paint desk.

Then using petrol cap or similar match to one of the colours. Then get them to mix the colour matched. Rather than rely on the computer alone.
