Knocking/Clunking sound from wheel when turning right?!

Recently a knocking or clunking sound has been coming from the front drivers wheel (or around there) when turning right at in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear, but yesterday the noise was getting really loud so that my music couldn't cover it up! My dad is on holiday till friday and I don't really have enough money to go to a garage - any idea what this could be and if it's still safe to drive my car till friday?

I don't have power steering and it's only done 85k

    90% its's the Driveshaft.

yep, drive shaft or CV joints. it will probably fail at some point if you boot it. Just take it realy easy from the lights and you might last till fri.

Driveshaft. In rare cases a loose wheel bolt

i had this problem and it was my wheel bearing had collapsed allowing the driveshaft to move so check the wheel bearings

thank you! i'll get him to check out those bits
hopefully it will last till friday. if it gets any louder i'll just have to get lifts for a few days.

any idea how much a drive shaft is or anything? it sounds expensive

Check ebay mate, i ordered both sides today, mine is clunking like anything, 45 per shaft including delivery.
