Exhaust System Noise After A 4-2-1 Manifold Is Fitted

   Right here goes..
   
   Concenplating on ordering a Raceland 4-2-1 Manifold now i have got my M.O.T out of the way, my question is.. with the current setup i have got (Supersprint Race Centre Pipe/2.5 Ashley Competition Backbox) will it give off the same kind of sound as would a full Supersprint System i.e Supersprint Backbox & Raceland 4-2-1 Manifold added or..

   itll sound similar bud..
   its not the manifold thatll make the difference, itll sound better with a raceland on, but its the backbox thatll change the sound..
   may aswel get the supersprint backbox mate..
   sounds loads better imo, and with the new mani will sound alot better than the ashley..
   your car, so up to you bud

   Cheers for the advice dude, yeah i was thinking of getting the Supersprint Backbox because i still dont like the way the Ashley sits and hangs out, im more into the small 2inch pipers and rally look and sound .

   go for it bud, there seems to be a few for sale atm, so good time to have a butchers..
   will love it.. i had a full system on my vtr, supersprint mani section and 2" backbox, and loooved the sound, wish i had a video, but dont ..
   youll love it bud, id say fit the mani, see how u feel about the noise with the ashley, and if still not quite what your after, get a supersprint

   yeah dude thats what i was going to do, if it gives off the raspy tone i'll keep it and just cut the sleeve down and bend the hangers a bit so it sits nice and flush.

   Ive had both the Ashley and the Supersprint and i can say they sound as different as any 2 backboxes could be. The centre pipe will do barely anything its the backbox that changes the tone. To get that sound you need a SS backbox. The manifold will make it louder and pop/bang more

   Cheers matey, i'll have to see what sort of pennies i have in the bank and order the SS backbox shortly, then later on in the year order the 4-2-1 Manifold.

   Cool, tbh the raceland will sound almost identical so id reccommend that unless your just doing the fullsystem just because its SS. The backbox is loud for what it is but both of them are great choices
