saxo vutting out and over reving - please help

hi all

i have done a sear but some are close but nt teh same as mine, so sorry if this is a repeat but i did a search

i have a 2000 saxo vts mk2

the problem is

the car somtimes cuts out on me when i dip the clutch to leave it idle (freewheel the car)
the revs drop fast down and cuts out, some times it drops right down but just dont cut out but the battrey light flickers (nearly cutting out) when thsi happens or i restart the car its all ok, do not idle like mad..

also on the motorway today noticed that when i came towards the roundabout and i dipped teh clucth to freewheel into the round about the car was ticking over on 1500rpm then dropped to 1200rpm and then to odle about 900rpm

also if i just sit in the car outside my house or were ever and leave it idle i can see somtimes the revcounter lifting up and dropping down slightly, also as if tehre a very faint miss

the car just had a service
new coil pack

been told it could be my induction kit causing it all, as it was fine untill yeterday until it rained lol.

also been told to clean the ICV and throttle body out,

any other suggestions on what to check and clean and ill clean the lot in one day then

also when i said it rained i was on the motorway and then i noticed it happened, i thought maybe the overspray when in the grill and into my induction kit,
