cleaning cylinder head up

   whats best thing to use to clean the outter of a cylinder head on a 16v gti engine as mine is really stained up where it used to have a oil leak

   any good degreaser should do it and a bit of time.

   how do people clean them so much? i seen some that look like brand new heads!!

   de-gunk or fill a paint sprayer full of breakfluid and using a compressor spray down - pressure and temp makes it evaporate and leaves it clean!!!

   If you want it to be cleaned properly then better off getting it acid dipped.
   Failing that a good de-greaser or brake cleaner should do the trick.
