#7gota think, how far where you into the red when you filled up?Quote:put a £10 fuel in my car on monday and only traveled 40 miles and its on reserve again, im having problems with my idle could this be the cause or much more? theres no petrol on my drive. its a 1.1 2000 forte
the best thing to do is fill a tank up, then you know youve got 45 litres in, the red light comes on at about 7 litres left so when it comes on you know youve used about 8.5 gallons and can work out your MPG -
#8i dont have a clue tbh :\ had an exhaust then baught one of my mate just a straight through pipe off a mk2 (iv got a mk1 :\)?
any help apprechiated please -
#9im getting 50mpg in my 1.4 westy. all stainless including manifold.
i bought myself one of those ecotek valves and i noticied a small diifference, used to get 43mpg, installed that and get 50mpg. well worth the 20quid i paid. -
#10thanks for your help lads, going to fill it up and see what i get this time, and yeh i normally use BP but this time i filled up at tescos so could be that lol
-
#11Definitely something wrong there. I just bought a VTR and have found it to be pretty good with regards to fuel economy. Better than my last Car anyway which was a 1.6 Escort. That thing guzzled petrol like nothing else. I've been pleasantly surprised with the Saxo.
Hope you get it fixed m8. -
#12Didn't know it could be worked out that way. Filled my tank up last week, took about 41 quid. Did just over 360 miles before the light came on. I make that around 42.3 mpg. Not too bad. Most of that was motorway miles mind you.Quote:gota think, how far where you into the red when you filled up?
