PAS fluid leak (split pipe)

   Hi all
   
   Today i replaced the PAS pipe that had rubbed through on a mates lowered MK2 vtr.What im wondering is, is there any actual cure for this, or is it a matter of replacing the pipe everytime it goes.
   
   Is it possible to flip the track rod ends upside down to provide more space where the pipe would usually rub???
   
   Tried providing more space by repostioning the pipe at the rack end, however not alot gained really if any!!!
   
   Any help would be great, cheers Lee

   just bend the pipe out of the way, mk1 pipes give more clearance i believe. its a common problem and not heard of anyone else having to flip any suspension parts over
