Vtr fpr

  1. #1
I'm fitting a VTR engine to my Citroen AX.
My VTR engine has a fuel return line, but i don't seem to see a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail...
Would the Saxo of had one next to the fuel pump? And if so, could i forget about the standard one and use an aftermarket adjustable one instead?
AND if that was alright, how would the fuel pump know to stop priming? Is there a fuel pressure sensor on the rail or something?

Lol this is my 1st post and i've asked like 9 questions.

    Thanks guys

yes there is a fpr on the vtr fuel tank next to the pump, can ditch that one and use an adjustable one if you like, why what spec engine you going for?

I know i won't get much if any performance gain from having the adjustable fpr, but i'm gonna get it remapped soon, and the adjustable might come in handy.

I'm running a black top with a Reground cam, lightened and balanced crank and rods, Myra cut valve seats, adjustable Kent cam pulley, lightened flywheel, ported and polished head, head skimmed 20thou, head gas flowed, 4-2-1, Full powerflow exhaust system.
I'm looking at forced induction. Got a turbo and a few manifolds that could get welded up, but i need to source a decent set of forged pistons and rods.

spec sounds good mate, better off getting an uprated one that fits in the same place, get a 3.5 bar one or something, id stay away from an adjustable one to be honest

    Thanks for the input
Isn't the standard pressure about 3.5 bar anyway?
What rods and pistons are you using for your turbo project?

im not sure if its 3 or 3.5, there is a 4 bar fpr standard fitment in the for sale section at the moment!

im running wossner pistons and pec rods

vtr's run 3.5bar fuel pressure standard
