106 gti turbo in the making

  1. #1
i am currently sourcing parts to turbo my gti

i dont wanna do it cheaply to be fair i gone for decent pipe work like alloy piping and samco hoses, joiners etc... but i been looking on here and notice some people just use the ebay intercoolers, are they any good?

i was looking at this one here... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=200443659922

i am going to be running 79mm wossner pistons, not sure what rods yet, along with dp manifold and gt28rs turbo

would i benefit from getting the external wastegate added to the manifold when i order it so its like future proof?

Worth giving Atspeed a phone call to discuss.

Intercooler size is pretty important on a turbo conversion

depends what your future goals are. and what kind of engine spec you are going for. we have a very popular spec we use that achieves very good results, on fairly minimal engine modifications and dependant on your power goals, works very well on the GT25R and GT2860RS turbos. they also allow good scope for futher modifications, as many of the basic essentials are future proof.

we can of course spec further for 300-400+whp set ups, if your hunger for power increases, but the cost of doing so rapidly increases too.

drop us an email or a phone call, we are more than happy to discuss your options from all aspects of the conversion, from cooling and plumbing to engine management and turbo choice.
