I have a phase 2 vts (year 2000) and have recently swap heads as my cambelt snapped and it was a cheaper and easier solution than replacing the valves, i think i have got a older head as there is a bracket above the dipstick thats not on my original ph2 head and there is also a port on the left hand side that looks like a EGR port but im not sure, when i fired up the saxo for the first time with the "new" head it was letting out exhaust gasses from the port, it was also very loud! iv blanked it off and it seems fine.
Can anybody clear up what the port is and what the bracket is for?? Also is it the older head as iv heard the newer ones produce more power due to better flow.
