manifold paint or ceramic coat?

    ive got a miltek manifold.

perfect condition apart from the surface rust. i wanted it blasting and ceramic coating but best price ive found is £180. i know you get what you pay for etc but is it worth it? i was thinking of just cleaning it with a drill/wire bristle attatchment and then using the heat resistant exhaust spray paint on it.

any ideas or thoughts? i dont want it on my car as it is. my engine is mint! dont want it ruined with a scabby manifold.

ceramic coated would be better, i found heat wrap crap on my manifold started to fall to bits after a while

DT do sell the paint. it does need to be put on with a paint gun.

ive found a few electric paint guns 120w nozzle size 0.8-0.5mm any good for this?

They used to do a brushable one. That didnt need an oven to cure it
  14. #14
this one paint gun only no need for hoven baking

D.T suggested that i try brushing a little on. i dont think so.

I'd brush it on mate and then add heat wrap on top? No harm in doubling up will only aid the exhaust flow more.

not a fan of heat wrap. for the price of it ceramic paint better do the job alone!
