Colour Coding 5DR Door Handles?

   Hey everyone, I own a 5 door saxo desire, I am thinking about spraying the door handles on the outside to the same colour as the car, as they are black as standard.
   
   Just want to know what would be the best way of doing this?
   Remove them?... or mask round them and then spray?

   I did this on my 5-Door.
   
   
   
   I didn't remove them, I slid a couple of sheets of newspaper behind the handles and taped them to the body.
   
   Then sprayed!

   Thats what I was thinking of doing, as taking them off would require alot of work and hassle.
   
   So just sand down, few coats of plastic primer paint and lacquer?

   Yep literally that dude, although I'd wet sand the first layer of paint, repaint again and then lacquer just for a better finish
   
   But as you say, there's is no point/no need to remove the handles to carry out this task, just make sure you absolutely COVER the side of the car in newspaper
