Help Needed Please

   Ok so i was pulling off my gear knob and forgot to put the car in gear. Yea i pulled the gear stick out of something
   
   I pushed it back down and now when i put it in gear and take my foor off the clutch it cuts out.
   
   Any ideas on whats going on and how to fix it ??

   Only thing I can see you pulling it out of is the housing the pivot ball sits in. Or the ball itself.
   
   Have you lifted the gear stick gaiter up to have a look what's going on?

   The gaiter is off... and yea the pivot ball came out and i pushed it back in but it wont go into gear even tho it feels like its going into gear....

   Has the gear linkages disconnected from under the car
