hi i have a mk2 saxo 1.1 and am wanting to lower it but with it having a torsion bar am really confused about how to go about it

if i want to drop it 40mm do you need front and rear springs and the torsion bar lowered?

    Hey,
You'll need a minimum of springs for the front (you can get a full kit which gives you front springs and front/rear dampers (shocks) if you can afford to)

Then for the rear is is an adjustment of the existing torsion bars.

So as a minimum you'll need front springs (£50 or there abouts) plus the torsion bars adjusting. If you require someone to do the work for you, then be very very careful where you go as there is a right and a wrong method to do torsion bars. There's quite a few competent people on here who can do it for around £100.

Would certainly advise checking for feedback too as there are alot of cowboys about too.

If you're located in the Midlands then i can do it for you. Or if you're miles away i could recommend someone whos in your area.

Alot of day to day garages either wont touch torsion bars, will charge stupid money to do it, or will do it the wrong way
