#2have you tried cleaning the EGR valve?
I had this problem with my astra
-
#3i had that problem and it was my loom had melted in the harnes duno y does it rev up and down a little then just go dead wen you take foot off throttle and put clutch down
-
#4the revs bounce that low sometimes it drops too much to keep turning over. only does it now and then. cleaned all the sensors and valves.
-
#5sounds like your not getting enough air into the engine
-
#6Does it do it after the engine temperature starts to climb? If so bleeding the coolant system can fix it
-
#7coolant system is bled but must admit it does it once its warmed up. and stedixon your comment has just made me think. i got the sax with a filter on. it only does it once stationary which points to hot/not enough air to the filter i spose

#8hi i got this same problem.. whats a EGR and a ICV valve and where can i find it?
-
#9The EGR is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve ans should be located just to the left of the exhaust manifold. The IDV is an Idle Control Valve and is located on the far left side of your intake plenum.
I have also got this problem, ive cleaned sensors and ICV and i have the standard air filter system still fitted. can someone help and tell me if the internals of the IDV should rotate like its threaded? and if so where should it be set to fully in, fully out or in between, if not i guess i need a new valve -
#10Could be the tps sensor or map sensor tbh mate I you've changed the icv already
But I'd say get some diagnostics on the car and get the ecu read, rather than trial and error, cause you could change the tps and map sensor and it may not be them, so can save alot of time, effort and money
